Japan to Review Criteria for Infertility Treatment Grants

保健省パネルは2014年3月に、当連結会計年度中に報告書をまとめることを目指し、日本での不妊治療の助成金のための基準の新しいセットを議論する木曜日にその最初の会議を開催。

A health ministry panel held its first meeting on Thursday to discuss a new set of criteria for infertility treatment grants in Japan, aiming to compile a report during the current fiscal year to March 2014.

専門家パネルは、支援の政府補助金と詳細を受け取ることができますカップルのための年齢制限を含む問題を検討する。
現在のプログラムの下で、このような体外受精などの公的医療保険でカバーされていない不妊治療を受ける夫婦、そして細胞質内精子注入は、5年間で毎年2回公判当たり補助金15万円まで取得することができます。

The panel of experts will study issues including the age limit for couples who can receive the government subsidies and details of the assistance. Under the current program, couples who receive infertility treatment that is not covered by public health insurance, such as in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection, can get up to 150,000 yen in subsidies per trial twice each year over a five-year period.

一定以上の組み合わせ所得カップルが対象となりませんが、年齢制限はありません。補助金プログラムは政府に98.7億の原価計算、2011年度にいくつかの113,000に、始めたときにアプリケーションの数は、2004年度には約17,000から急増している円は、その治療失敗に終わる可能性が高い40歳以上の応募者の上昇率、で、呼び出しは、それがより効率的にするためのプログラムを検討する政府のために成長している。

While couples with combined income above a certain level are not eligible, there is no age limit. The number of applications has soared from about 17,000 in fiscal 2004, when the subsidy program began, to some 113,000 in fiscal 2011, costing the government 9.87 billion yen. With the rising rate of applicants aged 40 or over, whose treatment is more likely to end in failure, calls are growing for the government to review the program to make it more efficient.
